A tennis tournament has regained its enthusiasm

The annual tournament of the tennis club of Uzès has just ended. The various tables were completed by André Ronze, the usual referee. Center thirty players were able to compete over three weeks of matches. The final phases welcomed high-level players since we could see rankings up to – 2/6 and – 15 on the men’s table compete. Note, the return of a former club player, Kevin Mercier (2/6) reached the semi-final at O.

The club closed the tournament with a prize giving (€1,600 in cash and €600 in prize money).

Awards: 45-year-old ladies’ singles: finalist: Stéphanie Germond (30/1); Winner: Anne Gaujoux (15/1). Senior Ladies Singles: Finalist: Rachel Goujon (3/6); winner: Marie Brunet (2/6).

Consoling gentlemen: finalist: Blevis (15/5); Winner: Alain Durieux (30). Men’s singles 65 years old: finalist: Jean-Pierre Bertrand (30); Winner: Jean-Marie Allier (15/5).

Men’s singles 50 years old: finalist Sébastien Duplissy (15/2); winner Bernard Decker (15/2). Men’s singles 35 years old: finalist Philippe Reche (15/1); Winner: Fabrice Curibilie (15/1).

Senior men’s singles: finalist Romain Nicolau (-2/6); Winner: Sylvestre Monnou (0).
