“2nd House Spirit”
After months of work and liters of elbow grease, this new place, desired by the owner of the domain Michael de Boisgelin, the sports association and the Friends of Golf de Boisgelin, came to life at the beginning of June.
At the helm, two childhood friends, two daughters of golfers, two women of taste and projects: Olivia Amos and Claire Biron. The day after their 40th birthday, they who dreamed of undertaking a day together, had A favorite :
Our wish was to create a second home spirit there, a place where you feel good.
The “Birdie” spirit, from the decoration to the plate.
Large terrace overlooking the woods
Finished in a large building on the estate, the high-ceilinged space, with stone or hemp-lime walls, filled with the pure sound of vinyl records, offers various tastefully decorated spaces and bouquets of fresh flowers: the counter with its velvet high chairs; the dining area with its wooden tables; the living room with its club chairs, its piano and its wood-burning stove for winter evenings by the fire…
And the large gravelled terrace overlooking the woods of the domain.
From homemade to the menu
On the menu, authentic and homemade concocted by Claire, at the counter of the open kitchen. :
90% of our products are organic, local and seasonal.
Cold plates, with worldly accents, hearty sandwiches for sports enthusiasts, pastries and cakes for the munchies.
And every Saturday, at noon, on reservation, the family dish with a starter-main course-dessert menu.
Claire has the art of handling herbs and seasonings to compose very beautiful dishes, full of taste.
“Bringing the place to life”
Cozy and gourmet, the Birdie will also be a lively place with several users from various backgrounds:
We wish to decline the sporting, natural and cultural spirit of Boisgelin in various events. This can be creative workshops, themed walks, concerts… Events to bring the place to life and shine.
And to start, a floral creation workshop is scheduled for Saturday June 25 (3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Coline Graviou, Flowertruck, Pléhédel), creative workshops for children are scheduled for Saturday July 2 in the afternoon , followed at 6:30 p.m. by a Hold Up concert: the duo made up of Aude Le Moigne and Renan Marzin, pays an acoustic tribute to the great folk, pop and rock figures of recent decades.
