Basket: Berck offers Dominique Gentil, a real name of the N1

After having extended six players, Berck accelerated his recruitment this week with winger Dominique Gentil, a cador of the division (34 years old), in decline last season in the bloated workforce of Le Havre. Enough to add a lot of experience to the Berckois squad.

Six, eight and soon ten! After having extended Moisy, Mendy, Chapuy, Henocq, Ajenifuja and Ekani, Berck, promoted to N1 at the end of May, announced the signing of winger Dominique Gentil (34), from Le Havre, a cador of the N1 but also of the pivot Luidgy Laporal, coming from Besançon (N1 also). All that remains is to sign the long-awaited replacements of the Seguela-Nicolas duo.

Like Alou Traoré, whom he replaces, Gentil is able to alternate between the two winger positions, outside or inside. If Berck was able to afford it, it is probably also because he is coming out, with Le Havre, of his worst season, statistically speaking, in nine years of N1. It doesn’t matter for the more empowered ABBR, its experience and talent will be worth gold. Laporal is an impressive pivot athletically, looking for a real role in N1 (6 pts, 5 rebounds last year).
