Cholet to face Besiktas in FIBA ​​Europe Cup qualifying

This Thursday morning, the draw for the qualifying round of the FIBA ​​Europe Cup has been reserved for Cholet a first major opponent: Besiktas Istanbul.

Chalet Basket hopes to return to the European Cup next season. For this, the Mauges club will have to go through a preliminary round in order to participate in the FIBA ​​Europe Cup, considered the 4th tier of European cups.

CB holds the Besiktas club, 10th in the last Turkish championship, in the semi-finals of the qualifying round. If they win the semi-finals, the club will still have to beat another opponent – ​​Leiden (Netherlands), Jamtland (Sweden) or Czarni Slupsk (Poland) – to join the main round.

The four FIBA ​​Europe Cup qualifying tournaments will take place from September 27-30.

In the event of qualification for the main round, which will have a total of 32 teams, Cholet would be placed in a raised group I, composed of Unicaja Malaga (Spain), Oradea (Romania) and Mechelen (Belgium).
