Already about ten days since the city’s tennis tournament began on the courts located near the lake in the recreation area. After two years of an interruption linked to the Covid, the pleasure of finding the game and the conviviality are there.
For this 2022 edition, a multi-chance tournament (TMC) for quinquas has been organized. This TMC allowed eight players over 50 (half from neighboring clubs) to play three matches each on the same day. With a fairly homogeneous level, this gave rise to very contested encounters.
The winner, Denis Oneda (TCF) won 4-3, 4-2 over Gilles Lauray (TCF). In the end, it’s a very nice day shared by the eight players and the volunteers of the day.
The 3rd series enters the competition
In the main draw, it is currently the 3rd series entering the competition. Already many games played, all this was orchestrated by referee Vincent Fourteau.
The tennis club is organizing a “tapas evening” this evening and a “paella evening” on Saturday evening.
The award ceremony for the city tournament is scheduled for Sunday, June 26 from 5 p.m. after the various finals (if weather conditions are favourable).
