Handball: Mickaël Robin new goalkeeper of Saint-Raphaël

There was no real secret since the information had been circulating since last February. But it is now official: Saint-Raphaël Var handball (SRVHB) announced on Monday evening the signing of Nantes goalkeeper Mickaël Robin for the next two seasons.

At 37, the bulwark who won the French championships twice (2011 and 2012) with Montpellier and the Liga Asobal in 2014 with Barcelona, ​​is an element of experience.

Elected best goalkeeper in the French championship in 2010, the Strasbourg player notably passed through Chambéry (2008 to 2010) and more recently by Cesson-Rennes (2014 to 2016), then Créteil (2016-2021), before committing in June last and for a season with H Nantes.

Robin will therefore pair up with Vincent Gérard in the Var goals next season. In replacement of the doublet formed by Popescu, at the end of the contract, and Demaille, gone to Nîmes.

“I am very happy to join the SRVHB for the next two seasons when I made the decision to stop my career a year ago to practice my profession as a physiotherapist”says Mickaël Robin on the club’s website.
