Handball Val-de-Meuse is having a great season

Saturday July 9, at the Montigny-le-Roi gymnasium, around sixty licensees met for their annual general meeting canceled by Guillaume Bret, in the presence of members of the office and sports educators, Romary Didier, mayor and Régis Marceaux , Deputy Sports Affairs. The moral report of the president is rather positive and enthusiastic. “It’s a rich season that ends with great satisfaction: the record number of licensees has been reached with 119 handball players and especially in the youth categories,” he says.

After two complicated years due to the Covid, the possibility of returning to competition was expected. All the matches were able to take place despite an autumn disrupted by the health crisis. The members of the board of directors wanted to reward all the licensees and volunteers and especially the trainers and coaches (more or less young), the young referees for the work accomplished and their investment throughout the year. Philippe Stumpf was honored for his years as president and his unconditional presence within the club.

Guillaume Bret underlined despite everything, the difficulties related to the obligations imposed by the federation (especially in relation to arbitration). Thus the club is always looking for players in all categories (from 2 and a half to 77 years old), volunteer leaders to support the teams and people wishing to get involved in refereeing.
