In a tweet, the club offered its condolences to the families of the victims.
“I exchanged with the SCO club quickly. They were all devastated by the news and we are in the same state given the circumstances. We don’t understand what could have happened. declared Patrick Larget, vice-president of the Union Rugby Club of Dumbéa (New Caledonia). We do indeed have a special link with SCO Angers Rugby because we have just signed a pairing with them and one of the players who left to join them this year. I wore the SCO jersey for five years, so that means a lot to me too. I think everyone in rugby is affected whether it’s here in Caledonia or at the French level. We are all in a state of shock and we join in the pain of the families”.
