The Park-Nevez site, already well equipped with equipment, has offered three 3 x 3 basketball courts since the fall, near the Sports Centre. “We responded to a strong request from Lannion-Trégor Basket, knowing that this Olympic discipline is very popular with young people. Since they were installed, these lands have been well used,” said the mayor, Paul Le Bihan, during the inauguration.
A €69,000 project
“Several basket baskets existed on Lannion, but they were aging and underused. It is in this context, and within the framework of the municipal sports policy of sports for all and free access, that this equipment was installed. It meets federal standards, and completes the sports offer on the Park-Névez complex, already much mentioned. Soon, 5 X 5 pitches will be installed on the Kroas-Hent school sports ground”.
The total cost of the project is €69,000. The city of Lannion, which led the project, received a grant of €27,000 from the National Sports Agency and €6,000 from the French Basketball Federation (FFB).
