It’s official, John Brown III has joined AS Monaco for the next two seasons.

Every day, its formalization of extension or signature. This Sunday July 17, AS Monaco announced the arrival of John Brown III (2.03m, 30 years old) for the next two seasons. Excellent with Kazan in his EuroLeague career in the lost season, the American interior returned to Italy – where he had interrupted his professional career – to end the season in Brescia. He will continue his career not far from there, with an ambition to reach the Final Four of the EuroLeague. This very strong defender explained his choice to join the Roca Team, on the club’s website:

“Already the environment is magnificent. I had already come a few times, whether in the EuroCup or the EuroLeague, but with the Covid it was a special request. While there when I came back, I was able to realize the beauty of this place with the sun. It was more what I expected especially after being in Russia. To see the beach, the sun, I think it’s a good return to reality (laughs). In addition, from a basket point of view, I joined Monaco because the project is ambitious, and the club gives itself the means to believe in it by putting in the necessary ingredients to achieve its objectives. »

Best interceptor of the EuroLeague 2021-2022 season (2.8 interceptions per game), John Brown still intends to pass caps at 30, he who was shooting at 10.3 points at 48% shooting success, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

“I still want to improve, to overcome levels, and do everything to leave a mark of me in Monaco. I’m not a guy who’s going to be flamboyant and score non-stop, and that’s not going to be my role. But I want to do all the things around it that will lead to victory. And collectively I want to win titles, like all of my teammates. I would do my job, and I would do anything to win. »

  • Wingers: Alpha Diallo and Armel Traoré (?)
