LBE | Noémie Barthélémy, new pivot for Metz Handball

While Astride N’Gouan will leave Metz this summer to join Paris 92, the reigning French champion announced this morning the arrival of a new pivot.

Noémie Barthélémy, 30, has signed up for a season with the Lorraine club. French D2 champion with Saint-Amand, she evaluated alongside the young Sarah Bouktit, promoted to the rank of number 1 on the post after an accomplished 2021/22 season. “She has the desired physical density, has LFH experience and a very strong will to live an incredible new experience with us. She showed in our exchanges a huge motivation to join the structure” explains Emmanuel Mayonnade, the Metz coach.

However, the recruitment of Metz Handball is not over. Croatian left-back Camila Micijevic, hit in the right knee, had to be accomplished, and will be absent until next April. And as confirmed by President Weizman, his club has already put itself on the trail of a joker to strengthen its rear base.
