Mathias Lessort back in the EuroLeague with Partizan Belgrade

Mathias Lessort is preparing to continue at Partizan Belgrade. The French international will thus make his return to the EuroLeague.

After two seasons in EuroCup, in Monaco then at Partizan Belgrade, Mathias Lessort (2.06m, 27) is back in the EuroLeague. According to Mozzart Sport, the French international will extend for the Serbian club which was invited to participate in the 2022-2023 EuroLeague season despite being eliminated in the round of 16 of the EuroCup and losing in the final of the playoffs of the Adriatic League.

At the start of last season, Mathias Lessort joined Maccabi Tel-Aviv to replace injured Ante Zizic. The opportunity to sneak back into the EuroLeague, a competition played at Red Star Belgrade in 2017-2018 then at Bayern Munich in 2019-2020. In the process, he signed with Partizan Belgrade, putting his former Red Star fans on their backs, with whom he shone in the EuroCup (13.1 points 63.4% shooting success and 6.7 rebounds in 23 minutes), championship won a few months earlier with Monaco.

At 27, he will try to assert himself in the EuroLeague in an ambitious team. After the arrival of the Australian Dante Exum from FC Barcelona, ​​other star players should follow.
