It was a great end-of-year party at the Mauzac tennis club for a great year of tennis.
A successful party, despite the heat wave, where the youngest members, around twenty, gathered around Philippe Paquiot and Morgan for an animation with sports games and rotating dead ball on the program.
Then came the graduation ceremony crowning the results of the tennis year. During this graduation ceremony, Carole Papaïx is delighted with the renewed momentum of the tennis club, after an uncertain start to the year.
His thanks went to Philippe, Nadia, Lylian and Morgan for the quality of their teaching and their friendliness, to the members of the office, to the volunteers and to the town hall of Mauzac for its help.
Philippe Paquiot, in turn, was to draw up a most satisfying assessment of the season won: “With 70 members, including 36 children at the tennis school and 19 members taking lessons regularly, this season has been punctuated by various events: Tournament September open to all, numerous stages for children under 7, internal tournament for 8/12 year olds between Mauzac and Goyrans… A very pleasant year even if the cancellation of the lottery, the proceeds of which are essential to financial health of the club is to be deplored”. The party ended with a shared meal outdoors and the final of the internal men’s tournament between Yohan Lamaison and Sébastien Bouey.
Before taking a vacation, even if the courts remain open to members, the tennis club leaders have an activity with the school, at the end of June, with the aim of discovering tennis.
On July 2, a mixed doubles tournament open to all will take place.
