Monclar de Quercy. Rugby: cohesion in the foreground

It was at the clubhouse of the André-Lescure stadium that the general meeting of the Avenir Monclarais XV club took place on Saturday June 18 around President Daniel Allasia, in the presence of Jean-Paul Albert, Mayor of Monclar-de -Quercy, several leaders, players and sponsors of the club. In his activity report, the president motivated the two teams which had a run, especially during the final stages when the club was not really acting as a leader, but after the play-offs, the two teams are engulfed in competition, tracing a promising path. “These positive results are certainly not without leaving small regrets. Rugby is a team sport and more than ever, we must ignore individuality. It is surely on this point that we have sinned the most at course of the season ended. ‘spirit of rugby with the village as a backdrop!’, thus defines the roadmap drawn up by President Daniel Allasia. Jean-Paul Albert then underlined the good progress of the club by flourishing from the durability of this sport which has been evolving in the town without interruption since its resumption under the name of Avenir monclarais in 1965.

A new season will open in the fall and it is under the leadership of Lucas Barès, the new referent coach, that future hopes will take shape. Thanks to all the volunteers, leaders, players and sponsors who make the structure work.
