Montauban. Pétank’golf: world champions on the podium

the essential
The torrid temperature did not affect the conviviality around the greens and the pétanque courts of Les Aiguillons.

Christian Lagarde can be satisfied to have organized a magnificent 6th edition of the Petank-Golf championship, in scorching temperatures on the Aiguillons golf course in Montauban. A stifling heat that we elected great champions. After a gathering of friendship the day before where we can not help throwing the balls by mixing world champions with beginners or Sunday players. This July 14, there were 32 pairs, 64 participants to compete in the two sports alternately (half a day petanque and another golf). The two half-days interspersed with a convivial meal followed by foie gras as a starter of a paella made on site, cheese, crisp and ice cream. There were beautiful people among the participants, followed by a large audience, such as the three professional golfers Jean-Baptiste Cournède, David Bellegueulle and Loïc Salgado, world petanque champions such as Dylan Rocher, Christian Fazzino (petanque player of the century), Marco Foyot, Michel Vancampenhout and Michel Loy, many French and regional champions. Guilhem Garrigues from Canal + and the winners of previous editions, Olivier Larrieu, Arnaud Entraygues, Luc Florès, Stéphane Berlier and Mathieu Rouvellat. Despite the heat, misters and water allowed everyone to participate in complete safety and conviviality. Thirty-two teams were in competition for the following final result: 1/ Stéphane Berlier (former winner) and David Bellegueulle, 2/ Christian Fazzino (best petanque player of the century) and Jean-Louis Oleksiak, 3/ Dylan Rocher (world champion of pétanque) and Jean-Baptiste Cournède (professional golfer)
