The National League clubs in consultation with their TV partner have decided on some changes to the playoffs.
It was necessary to eliminate as many uncertainties as possible. Thus, the first decision concerns the start of each final series. Previously, if the quarter-finals or semi-finals ended in 4 or 5 games, the start of the next series was advanced by one or two dates. It is now a thing of the past. The quarter-finals (March 14), semi-finals (April 1) and final (April 18) will begin on these dates regardless of how the playoffs go.
In addition, the “splitting”, that is to say the distribution of the playoff days over 2 days will only concern the first 4 matches of the quarter-finals and semi-finals.
Each series of pre-playoffs, quarter-finals and semi-finals will be broadcast at least once on free-to-air television and all the final matches will be broadcast unencrypted on Léman Bleu.
