Lane Hutson received the EJ McGuire Achievement Award. 2022 draft prospect honored for strength of character, level of competitiveness and athletic ability

Hutson is ranked No. 25 on the list of top North American prospects heading into the 2022 draft. He was named the top defenseman at the 2022 World Under-18 Championship, when he had eight assists and finished with a plus-12 differential in six games.

The EJ McGuire Achievement Award is given in honor of the one who served as director of the Office from 2005 until he died of cancer on April 7, 2011. The award is presented to the hopeful who represents the most excellence through his strength of character, his level of competitiveness and his athletic abilities.
