Neuchâtel Hockey Academy
The 2022/23 season will start in mid-September 2022 and the Neuchâtel Hockey Academy is no exception to the rule: it is active on the transfer market. The club thus announces the commitment of Tania Onyshschenko. Born in 1999, of Ukrainian origin, this center player has been playing for several seasons in the Polish championship and joined, from the 2021/22 season, the Polish national team following her naturalization.
A player with the Stoczniowiec Gdansk team since the 2013/14 season, she successfully trained in Sweden (Kalskrona HK 2015/16) before making the delight of the Metropolis Katowice team during the European Cups these two recent seasons. This transfer is in addition to that of three international players which took place a few weeks ago: Brianna Gaffney (BOX), Katelyn Heppner (CAN) and Marilyn Fortin (SUI-CAN).
They all played under the colors of Nipissing University (Ontario). Winners of the OUA Conference in U sport, they lost in the play-off against Concordia, winner of the RESQ Conference.
The summer period will allow the NHA to prepare for the future season in the best conditions and to find the magic potion to harmonize and integrate new recruits. It will indeed be a question of highlighting all the new assets to aim once again for the playoffs of the Women’s League Championship, now bringing together seven teams following the promotion of Langenthal and Ambri-Piotta, the team of Reinach s being withdrawn. It should also be noted that a foreign defender could still join the Neuchâtel contingent.
