Gaylor Gurier leaves SIG Strasbourg and signs for Cholet Basket for the next season in Betclic ÉLITE.

As announced, the French winger Gaylor Curier (1.99 m, 30 years old) has signed up with Cholet Basket for next season in Betclic ÉLITE.

Passed by Limoges, Angers, Rouen, Souffelweyersheim, Orléans, Lille and Gravelines-Dunkerque, he arrived in Strasbourg in the summer of 2021. He had a good season in a post 3 shooter role and flourished in Alsace with 5.9 points on 41.1% shooting success, 1.6 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 13 minutes in 51 Betclic ELITE and Champions League (BCL) matches. In Mauges, the native of Essonne completes the back line as well as recruitment, as Laurent Vila explains on the club’s official website:

We will complete the composition of our team with the signing of Gaylor CURIER who will complete our back line. It’s a good experience of the Betclic ÉLITE and sort of a very good season with Strasbourg. He is at a point in his career where he is reaching his best. He can come off the bench and be effective right away, he’s a big 3-point shooter, but I don’t want to boil him down to that. He is a player who is dynamic, athletic, who can attack the basket on one or two dribbles and put on a show. He has a good state of mind, defensive, team-oriented and the desire to win. He is a player who shows character on the pitch. »
