Saturday July 9, at the municipal stadium, several promotions of cadets, double champions of Languedoc and France of rugby, gathered.
Were present the cadets of 1997, winners of Villeurbanne at L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (84), those of 2000, winners at Souillac (46) and Issoudun (36), those of 2002, winners at Aussillon de Léguevin (31) and those of 2004, winners at Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche (87) from Dreux (28). Together, they wanted to honor the memory of their “uncle” to all, Dédé Vieu le Quarantou, who died a few months ago. The legendary leader had himself been champion of France with the ASQ in 1962 against Issigeac (24).
On an overheated lawn, around fifty thirty-year-olds and young people in their forties competed during a “to touch” tournament organized by Johan and Guilhem. The giant aperitif brought together around the room Laurent Bernard, champions, coaches, leaders and parents. No less than three paellas cooked on site delighted the crowd.
