Three Agenais will join their various selections this week.
Nice surprise for Raphaël Lagarde! The SU Agen opener has been selected by Denis Charvet, the manager of the French Barbarians, to play in the team’s next two games. The first will take place on July 1, in Houston, against the United States. The second will take place on November 20, in Lille, against Fiji.
As an opener, the 33-year-old will be in particular competition with Louis Foursans (Montpellier) and François Trinh-Duc (Bordeaux-Bègles). Among the selected group, we also note the presence of the former Agenais, Arthur Joly (Perpignan), whose return to Lot-et-Garonne had been mentioned several times.
Christian Lacombe will not stay in Agen
Two other players received good news yesterday. Jefferson Joseph and Emile Dayral immediately join the France U20 team, in order to prepare for the Summer Series, where they will find Emilien Gailleton in particular. The competition starts this weekend in Italy. The two Agenais digitally replace Enzo Reybier (Oyonnax) and Louis Le Brun (Castres), called up with the XV of France, to prepare for the summer tour in Japan.
Finally, another transfer information concerns SU Agen. Loaned last season to Chambéry, Christian Lacombe will again be loaned to a National team. For the moment, the name of the club concerned has not filtered. Barred by Raphaël Lagarde, Danré Gerber, Thomas Vincent and Emile Dayral, the 22-year-old opener had played twelve National games last season, including six as a starter.
