Table tennis. The Néodomienne Élise Pujol secures a podium at the European Cadet Championships!

After the team competition which ended in ninth place on Sunday with the French junior team, the Néodomienne Élise Pujol has been attacking the singles and doubles tables since Tuesday. So far with much more success.

Especially in mixed doubles. In the company of Flavio Mourier (Grésivaudan), member of the hopeful pole of the Grand Est League first had a smooth start against a Bosnian pair on Tuesday in the 32nd final, with a 3-0 success. Then, things got tough on Wednesday, with a real marathon day: in 16th, the two tricolors needed the beautiful to oust the Ukrainians Solodkyi and Kovalova in the morning.

At noon time, the duo shook less in the 8th against the Czechs Moravek and Polakova, with a 3-0 victory. Before a new knife match in the evening in the quarters against the Slovak Arpas and the German Neumann. The French pair still had to work hard to make it to the last four, with a match won 12-10… But this hard-fought success already ensures the Néodomienne and her teammate to win at least the bronze medal. See better depending on the result of their semi-final scheduled for this Thursday at 1 p.m.

Also competing in ladies’ singles and doubles

At the same time, the French No. 158 also played in her 32nd singles final, winning 4-0 against the Israeli Tilkin. She will challenge the Ukrainian Ponko in 16th this Thursday from 10 am. A second extended day may be waiting for Élise, especially since she will also be playing quarterfinals in women’s doubles with Jade Huynh (Antony) at 3:30 p.m. But it would be a good sign…
