In carrying out the construction of two new courts during the past season, the Pradean tennis club is surfing on a good wave to continue to look ahead, and is not idle during the summer.
The end of June was an opportunity to celebrate the club’s party, bringing together a good hundred members. But also to launch, over two weeks, an open tournament for young people. “ We had 84 entries in different categories, but unfortunately no winner “, notes François Nathan Hudson. This member of the club also underlines the good results with “ two departmental champions, Lola and Tom, in under 11 and the finalist team in 8-10 year olds at the same level “. But also “ a record number of members bringing the number of members to 360, i.e. 80 more than before the Covid. “
July and August are full of sports-related projects, as with the children’s courses from July 18 to 22 or from August 22 to 26.
Extension of the clubhouse terrace
The club obtained a subsidy from the town hall allowing, with a contribution and a participation of the FFT, to envisage the extension of the terrace of the club house. “The expansion will be substantial and will allow us to continue to offer friendly events, to find ourselves”, he enthuses.
In September, it will start again with the adult tournament from 5 to 24, “an important tournament for the life of the club, which has been very successful”, tournament which will be framed by the association day on September 4, where the club will be represented and will offer a family day for members.
