Tennis: the 16th International Women’s Open will take place from June 26 to July 3, 2022

For 7 days, 32 players will compete in singles and 16 teams in doubles, until the finals, Friday July 1 at 5 p.m. for doubles, and Sunday July 3 at 5 p.m. for singles.

Thanks to its exceptional quality of welcome and the financial contribution of the partners, the Montpellier International Women’s Open is one of the $60,000 paid tournaments in France. This positioning in the tournament hierarchy is essential for players. Indeed, the number of points acquired in the WTA ranking and the “prize money” of the players depends on the category of the tournament. Thanks to this endowment, the final singles draw is made up of players from the world’s top 100.

The Montpellier Women’s International Open is part of the ITF circuit which brings together all the official events of world professional tennis. The International Women’s Tournaments allow young hopefuls to harden themselves on the international circuit and improve their professional ranking (WTA).

Many French and foreign players who play today in the world’s top 100 made their debut there.
