Tennis, WTA – Budapest 2022 tournament: Bondar out of Papamichail

Hungary’s Anna Bondar, seeded n°9, made it to the quarter-finals of the Budapest tournament, beating Greek qualifier Despina Papamichail (6-2, 6-3) on clay at Római Tennis Budapest Academy, late Wednesday afternoon.

Bondar, the 53rd player in the world at the WTA, will face Italian Martina Trevisan, seeded No. 2 in the quarter-finals of the Hungarian tournament.

In the previous round of the Hungarian Open, the Hungarian tenniswoman won against Czech qualifier Jesika Maleckova (6-4, 6-4).

Papamichail, ranked 195th in the WTA, won against Hungarian Dalma Galfi (7-6 [4]6-3).
