Tennis, WTA – Budapest Tournament 2022: Bondar releases Papamichail

Hungary’s Anna Bondar, seeded n°9, climbed to the quarter-finals of the Budapest tournament, by significantly beating Greek qualifier Despina Papamichail (6-2, 6-3) at the Római Tennis Academy in Budapest on Wednesday at the end of the afternoon.

Bondar, the 53rd player in the world at the WTA, will face Italian Martina Trevisan, seeded No. 2 in the quarter-finals of the Hungarian tournament.

In the previous round of the Hungarian Open, the Hungarian tenniswoman won against Czech qualifier Jesika Maleckova (6-4, 6-4).

Papamichail, ranked 195th in the WTA, won against Hungarian Dalma Galfi (7-6 [4]6-3).
