Tennis WTA – Lausanne 2022 Tournament: Martic leaves Andreeva

The Croatian Petra Martic dominated the Russian qualifier Erika Andreeva without being worried about the score (6-4, 6-2) and climbed to the quarter-finals of the Lausanne tournament at the Tennis Club du Stade-Lausanne, Wednesday in the middle of daytime.

Martic, the 85th ranked player in the WTA, will face the winner of the upcoming match between wild card Susan Bandecchi and No. 2 seed Belinda Bencic in the quarter-finals of the Swiss tournament.

In the previous round of the Lausanne Open, the Croatian tenniswoman had clearly beaten the Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, seeded n°5 (6-2, 6-2).

Andreeva, 153rd in the world at the WTA, had dominated the qualified Anna Blinkova without being worried about the score (6-1, 6-2).
