The Jazz offer that the Knicks would have refused to recover Donovan Mitchell

According to The Athletic insider Tony Jones, the discussions produced between Knicks and Jazz about Donovan Mitchell slowed down somewhat when New York realized what kind of package Utah was waiting for in exchange for the fullback.

Here’s the offer the Knicks reportedly turned down:

Sent to Jazz:

-Quentin Grimes
-Obi Toppin
-Emmanuel Quickley
-Miles McBride
-6 first draft rounds

Sent to the Knicks:

-Donovan Mitchell

The discussions are not on hold, but they could continue longer than expected. Jones clarified that Utah does not want RJ Barrett in the deal because they are looking for more young players that they will not have to pay very expensive for the moment.
