The last known qualifiers for the Open de Bretagne

The last qualifications for the BLOT Open de Bretagne took place on June 20th. A total of 156 players will take part in the event.

The BLOT Open de Bretagne reveals itself more and more. The competition, which takes place from June 23 to 26, will take place at the Bluegreen golf course in Pléneuf-Val-André. Just before this 15th edition of the competition, a qualifying round took place on the Rennes Saint-Jacques course at the start of the week. The opportunity to determine the last qualified for the prestigious Breton event.

A skilled hobbyist

During this qualifying round, the various competitors competed on the 18 holes. In the end, it was amateur Augustin Barbé who did the best. “I qualify for a pro tournament, it’s my first experience on a course that I don’t know”, declared the interested party to Ouest France after his qualification. A total of 53 players were at the start of this competition on the Rennes Saint-Jacques course in order to hope for qualification for the Open de Bretagne. Charles Hébert and Patryk Lescatreyres are also qualified, as is Antoine Bachelier.

A highly anticipated competition

From now on, all eyes are on the BLOT Open de Bretagne. The competition is indeed eagerly awaited, whether by golfers or by the public. On Thursday June 23, the inauguration of the BLOT Open de Bretagne Village will take place around 11 a.m. Several local sports players, such as the Côtes d’Armor Departmental Council, the City of Pléneuf-Val-André and the Breton Golf League, will be present.

As a reminder, the competition will bring together 156 players from 20 different nations. The winner of the previous edition, Julien Brun, won a cash prize of €200,000 at the end of the event.
