The Rugby World Cup trophy on display in Le Touquet this Sunday

The city of Le Touquet is becoming a land of rugby with a view to the 2023 World Cup during which it will host the XV de la Rose. This Sunday morning, the famous Webb Ellis trophy will be on display at City Hall. And on Saturday, the World Cup exhibition train will stop all day at Étaples station.

Until autumn 2023 and the reception of the England team, in base camp in the seaside resort during its two matches at the Pierre-Mauroy stadium, Le Touquet will gradually grow in power.

It starts this weekend with the exhibition, Sunday morning, in the halls of honor of the town hall from famous golden Webb Ellis trophy that the greatest South African, Australian or New Zealand players could react like Richie McCaw, John Eales etc. For rugby fans, this will be a unique photo opportunity.

Also at Étaples station

To promote the World Cup, a train started criss-crossing France. It will stop at Étaples station, saturday all day. We will be able to board for free, to dive virtually into the atmosphere of the France – New Zealand opening match at the Stade de France scheduled for September 8, 2023. It will then continue on its way to around fifty other cities.

Finally, in Le Touquet on Sunday morning from 10 a.m., a Beach Rugby tournament will be held on the beach. Another way to promote this sport around the city has chosen to focus its communication over the coming months.
