this summer, the Evian Resort won over tennis lovers

Resolutely turned towards sport, this area is organizing three unprecedented tennis days this summer, led by two former champions of the world circuit, Martina Hingis and Timea Bacsinszky.

The Evian Resort and top-level sport is a great love story. 1994, he receives the best players from the world of golf at the Evian Championship, the only Grand Slam tournament played in Continental Europe. In 2016, during the Euro football championship, the German team established its base camp there.

It must be said that this area offers high-level infrastructure for all sports lovers: a 19-hectare park conducive to rejuvenation; a 1200 m2 spa dedicated to well-being, offering massage rooms, indoor swimming pool, hydro contact course and fitness area equipped with state-of-the-art machines, with coaches available; a championship 18-hole course backed by a unique golf academy in Europe; two padel courts and four synthetic turf and GreenSet tennis courts.

High-level master class

On the court side, the Evian Resort is organizing this summer, from August 16 to 19, the first edition of the Tennis Stars Event. On this occasion, he will welcome two distinguished guests: the former Swiss champion Martina Hingis – the youngest world number one in the history of tennis and winner of 25 Grand Slam tournaments – and Timea Bacsinszky, another Swiss player, winner of four titles singles on the WTA and ranked 9th worldwide in 2016.

For three days, the two players will participate, with hotel guests and external visitors (by reservation for both), in clinics and Master classes, before sharing a cocktail with their students. They will also give some individual lessons, Saturday August 20, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A perfect box

For all tennis lovers, this initiation meeting is also an opportunity to enjoy the two hotels of the Resort. Overlooking Lake Geneva on one side, the peaks of the Alps on the other, Le Royal, its turn-of-the-century palace completely renovated in 2015, offers 150 rooms and 32 suites, a starred table signed for more than ten years by chef Patrice Vander, and an infinity pool that has largely earned the reputation of the place. On the heights of the park, the Ermitage is a 4-star hotel, ideal for an authentic family stay.
