Smiles and good weather for the open doors of the Vaudry tennis club (Vire Normandy). Saturday, June 11, 2022, took place a special day to discover and practice tennis in good spirits.
The President, Olivier Ledanoisthe vice-president, Dominique Rousseau, and the secretary, Alain Bihel, agreed to answer our questions.
When was the Vaudry tennis club founded?
The tennis club is celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year. After two years characterized by the health crisis, our desire is to revive the club!
How many licenses does the club have? Do you want to improve this number?
On account of about thirty licensees, that’s good. The number of licenses is not an objective, here we practice tennis to relax, in a family atmosphere.
Will there be infrastructure changes soon?
It was expected. The mayor of Vire had committed to a project, but it is clear that, for the moment, the project is on hold. That’s a shame. We are waiting for answers.
You know the cliché that states that tennis is a sport for the rich, what do you think?
This is not the case. With us, the annual subscription is €20 and €10 for children and the unemployed. This symbolic contribution allows everyone to be able to practice this sport on a daily basis.
