It’s almost non-information, in any case a very London tradition: the rain disrupted the course of the first day at Wimbledon on Monday. With the exception of Center Court and Court 1, which have a roof, the other courts experienced a long program interruption which ended in a number of reports or cancellations.
Thus, ten matches were purely and simply reported to Tuesday, in particular that of the Frenchwoman Océane Dodin who must challenge Jelena Ostapenko. Among the interrupted matches (6 in all), note that of Reilly Opelka in a very presented waiver against the Spaniard Carlos Tarberner, who leads two sets to nothing. In difficulty, Belinda Bencic had for her part managed to return to a set everywhere against the Chinese Qianq Wang before the report.
